I was using "Sloppy" last night, the lesser quality of our two 856s. It has 10,000 hours (comapared to the "good" one which has 14,000), and I spread manure with it last night. Ran great, except a few times when I put the TA in direct drive going uphill (power wasn't an issue, it was manure application) it would slip really bad, like stop, roll down the hill in reverse a few feet, and jerk into drive. It scared the tar out of me. And at 2200-2600 RPM's, it made quite a jolt. Does this mean it's about to go out? I admit, the TA doesn't get used as much as it should because that tractor does little more than hauling silage, corn, and manure, but I enjoy using it. I do shift it fast, basically pulling it back hard until the lever stops and throwing it forward. Any words of advice or stories from expirence? Thanks.
