If you have a magneto, be sure the grounding switch is not in the "off" position; that can cause many crank turns and no spark (a lesson learned the hard way!).
Check that none of the internal wiring terminals are accidentally grounded.
Have the magnets lost strength?
Is the impulse coupling "snapping" to allow strong spark production while cranking?
