When you check the oil, is it gassy? Does the oil level seem to be increasing? How about the plugs? Are they getting fouled after it warms up? Both would indicate that the valve clearances are not adjusted properly. If it runs good cold, I wouldn't think it was a fuel problem, but I could be wrong. The timing could be off, but I really would check the valves first. I've had this happen before, and that is what it was. Unfortunately for me, I did EVERYTHING else before checking the valve clearances. You should check the clearance when it is warm, but you can get it close enough to run OK by adjusting them cold, and then re-checking them after it warms up.
