while I agree with George about a loader being hard on a cub. My 76 has had a 1000 since new and now engine is ready for rebuild and it has not broken the tractor yet. Defintly look around area where engine bolts to the front end. As to value some dealers list the International 1000 loader with fair paint, good working condition for 2400-2800. Other loaders do not seem to be as collectable. I have thought about selling my loader, if I did I would do it only to raise money to buy a loader tractor. Loaders are too handy to have, not to live with out one. Also need to be careful when using it. Don't drive around with it in the air especially with a load. When lowering it DON'T JERK IT will break the tractor and then you will see what George is talking about. Good luck cubs are fun and a lot handier than most people give them credit.
