Roary, just as a matter of interest,we had a similiar tractor in Australia. Called the 564 Farmall, it shared the same driveline as the conventional 564, and as Guy Fay mentioned of the B450 our 564 was still being sold new in 1970.At that time IH Australia switched over to producing the "new" range of engines and gearboxs' and released a new tractor called the 686. Came with the Neusse style motor and the 706 style tranny.Well it was new for us.
Like the B450, the 564 had a glowplug heating, direct start Diesel engine and the same old 5 speed box.Redfan.
P.S. It was available in 1968 @ $3515.00 and in 1970 @ $3575.00
