Farmall 450...The next M-TA?

Is the 450 the next ‘hot’ Farmall out there for collectors? I ask this question because of my recent experience selling one.
I recently acquired a 450 from a local horse farmer. The unit was in good shape, everything worked…TA included. Had decent tires. New rims. Basic solid unit, the only thing missing was the head lamp fixtures. I really had little need for the tractor, so I offered it up for sale but the potential buyer thought maybe this tractor was a 400 and not 450. When I started looking closer, I found I was not able to 100% determine if it was in fact a 450. So, I had an expert from the local Case / IH dealership (or is it New Holland / Case / IH now?!?) come over and scope out the tractor. He crawled all over it taking down various numbers…went back to the truck and checked his stack of books and declared that it was in fact a Farmall 450.
I guess that really didn’t impress me that much. Its a nice tractor. Runs great. Looks good and seems to be original but other some extra HP, not much different from a 400. It must have impressed the IH guy though, since he asked if I was selling it and I said I was. Seems he had a guy asking him to find one. Well to make this long story a little longer, through the IH guy, I sold the 450 for a rather healthy profit.
My question is, ‘What’s up?’ Is the 450 that sought after? Is it now or is it becoming the next M-TA?

Today's Featured Article - An AC Model M Crawler - by Anthony West. Neil Atkins is a man in his late thirties, a mild and patient character who talks fondly of his farming heritage. He farms around a hundred and fifty acres of arable land, in a village called Southam, located just outside Leamington Spa in Warwickshire. The soil is a rich dark brown and is well looked after. unlike some areas in the midlands it is also fairly flat, broken only by hedgerows and the occasional valley and brook. A copse of wildbreaking silver birch and oak trees surround the top si ... [Read Article]
