Use the swinging drawbar, the U shaped steel is the "drawbar support". I have seen many many people use it as a drawbar but that is NOT it's designed purpose. You can limit the travel of the swinging drawbar by dropping some pins in the drawbar support on each side of the drawbar roller. You may just need one on the left side looking from the back to limit the drawbar travel to the left as you turn left. I use 3/4 sucker rod ends for pins. Good luck, be careful and have fun.
