Tim: I guess I jumped in a bit to quickly, I should have gone and checked which A you guys were discussing. Afterall one would expect on a Farmall page to be discussing Farmall A and not Deere A The reason I didn't get involved is I don't get very excited on color discussions, You guys know of course Deere built the first perfect tractor. They did it using Oliver's 6 cylinder, Cockshutt's LPTO, Ferguson's hitch, IH's TA and lower link sencing on Ferguson's hitch, Ford's Select-O-speed, etc. None of the good ideas on that tractor were their own. Seriously folks, all of these companies had their development problems. I can name you something I didn't like about every tractor I ever used. I can also name items I liked on different makes of tractors. I farmed for a few years with Farmall, Cockshutt, Case, Deere, MF and New Holland forage and haying equipment In my time NH didn't have a tractor, but they were years ahead of evryone on forage equipment The rest I would put in two groups called 2nd and 10th.
