Same size engine yes, same engine no. I think you will find some at least Super As out there with C-123 blocks but still using the 3" bore and 113 cubic inch. My Super A serial number 336977, which is a 1953, has 3" pistons, the block is original and has C-123 stamped on it. I have been told that once SC came out with C-123 engine IH decided it was more economical to manufacture one block. I even had an IH dealer argue with me stating my tractor has a C-123 engine. If that were the case, it would have 3-1/8 bore.
