The end clearance is not the ending clearance. It is the clearance between the connecting rod the surfaces on either side. If the bearing clearance is a perpendicular clearance to the crankshaft, the end clearance is the horizontal measurement. Did you measure the rear main bearing clearance with the plastigage? If so, what was the measurement? I would definitely run a 30 wt oil in the winter and in hot weather switch over to 40 wt. After running the tractor hard for any extended time do not go immediately to low idle when stopping. Let the tractor run at a fast idle until the exhaust temp drops and the excessive engine heat is dissapated by the radiator. This usually takes around five minutes. Though we all like to idle our gas burners down low, in this case, I would set the idle a tad on the high side to ensure good low speed oil pressure.
