You must have a very poor dealer. The ring sets are still available for the 3" and 3-1/8" bore pistons. They generally run $60-75 for the set. I may have a NOS set for $40-45, depending on the bore and piston. let me know the piston number and the bore, and I will let you know the ring set that you need
