Rich: KB is right don't fool with this, someday you will be in hurry and quick shift, forgetting about your worn gear shift lever. That is usually how this happens, shifting from 2nd to ist or reverse. The other one to watch is shifting from 3rd to 4th. KB is right on the problem at hand. The other matter is the rail and shifting fork for 2nd and 3rd gets used the most so it moves the eaiest.
