Francis, When you buy the rebuild kit it will come with directions. Pick up a gallon of carburetor cleaner that has a parts basket inside of it at an auto parts store so you can soak carburetor and parts. It's best to have the carburetor completly apart when you soak it. Some of the parts may be brass, which will break or strip if you force them so you may have to soak it with the parts in it to loosen them up. Then soak it again with them out. Don't use a wire to run through the little metering holes. It doesn't take much to knock them out of tolerance. Just soak everything, rinse with water and use compressed air to blow out all the little passages and dry the carburetor. Safety - Be sure to read the cautions on the carburetor cleaner and use safety glasses with the compressed air. Good luck, Fred KS
