Well heres the situation. I got a head for my 504 off a guy a few months ago. It was sitting around in his garage for who knows how long, it came off a 2504 backhoe. Needless to say it took some soaking and a few raps w/a hammer to free a couple valves. A Reman head for a Farmall 504 runs $5-600 from what I've seen. How much do you think a used one is worth? I keep asking for a price but he wants to do trading. I've got a SC thats in need of an engine block & front bolster. He wants it for parts. Problem is parting it out on Ebay (the SC) I can get more than what the used head is worth. (I'm figuring a used head is worth 1/2 price of a reman) The tires are very good tread, just a little dry cracking. WFE needs new tie rods but main section is good. Tin..well it's 50 yrs old.. Any ideas?
