Dave,
The only way to disassemble air filter is to drill the spot welds out on the bottom side of the cannister and remove the retaining plate that holds the wire mesh inside. There are about 8 or 10 mesh rings inside coarser ones on top finer on the bottom. The 1/4 holes will not show after you reassemble because the oil cup on the bottom will go over them. Were in Ct?
