Carm, Have you tried to run the C with out the air cleaner attached?You mentioned that the plugs looked fouled which tells me that you are either getting too much fuel(which you said you checked the carb) or else there is not enough air getting through.Check for bird nests or dirt dobber nest,since it has been sitting for a while.If it isn't fuel or electric problems,air is the only thing left to cause conbustion.My 2 cents
