The motor I have in my '54 Super A has a crack in the block by the right front support. About an inch or so back from the bolt. Oil is coming out of it pretty good. Looks like someone has tried welding it at one time, but did not do a very good job. Do you think if it is done right, a weld job is sufficient, or should I try to find another block. There is a block I found online, but the serial number on the that motor is FFA117478, whereas mine is FAA310402. Are the blocks interchangeable? If so I will probably go that route rather than take a chance, but if anyone has had any luck welding them back together, let me know. Thanks.
