Hi Wayne, I bought a very nice set from a guy in PA. I don't remember his name. There is also an amish guy in PA making them , but the other guys fenders are just about perfect.The amish fenders are galvanized and have a seam that shouldn't be there near the bead. The guy who makes the nice fenders, also makes the tool box and lid. If I remember right the fenders were about $375 for the pair , but that was a few years ago, well worth it though as I said, they are perfect copys. Now if your friend can make hoods, now he will have a market! There is only one place doing the hoods that I know of, and they need a lot of work to look right. Holes in the center brace are not stamped out, the beading at the ends is lousy and looks like it was done with a hammer,the curve of the hood is totally wrong and has to be reworked, and a few other things I can't think of right now.It was VERY expensive and poor quality for the price.I had to go that route though since my hood was totally mangled. It was real bad to start with but as we pulled the tractor out of the weeds, the hood fell off and the front wheel mashed it the rest of the way to oblivion. Hood sides are one more thing that are scarcer than hens teeth. There are 3 variations of the hood sides for 10-20s, possibly more. The style I know of are the 23-26 style with 2 holes stamped in the center of the side panel for the 2 exhaust outlets and short louvers, the 27-8 style with no hole for exhaust since the exhaust lets out through the rear hood sheet(firewall), also the louvers are longer than the 23-26 type, And the last type has a notch cut out of the lower rear corner on the 29-39 type for the exhaust outlet and the long louvers like the 27-28 type. I have a nice pair of 29-39 sides if he lives close to Indiana, he can make a pattern from them. Keep us informed if he decides to do some parts.
