After removing the 2 bolts holding the cover on, I sprayed plenty of PB Blaster around the edge of the cover where it was binding. Then took a slide hammer puller and attached it to one of the brackets that the bolt was in, and GENTLY pulled that side of the cover off 1/8 inch. Then moved the puller to the other bolt and did the same thing. Little by little it worked off without bending any of the brackets. A few times it seemed to get stuck so I used a large screwdriver and hammer to hit the top edge of the cover. The cover eventually came off. All of the brake hardware was covered with old oil, and the cleanup began.
