My 1937 F-20 had been sitting for about 12 years when I got it running. The compression readings were all different. Lowest was 35#, highest was 55#.After geting it up to temperature and running it around for an hour or so the readings started to show improvement.The more it got run the better it got.I figured sticky rings and probably carbon and surface rust on the valves.After setting the valve lash to spec.,all cylinders are right around 60#.Being as this it starts well and dosen't smoke I figured good enough.I believe the compression ratio on these motors is something like 4 1/2 to 1.
