Dick: Thanks. This was very helpful. Since I posted my initial question I have studied the problem more and a friend who knows more about hydraulics stopped by and took a look. I think your assessment of the situation is what I am dealing with. I plan to add a third spool valve and control the hitch with that. The hitch cylinder is double acting and I will hook it up that way. In terms of the loader, the bucket cylinders are presently double acting while the cylinders controlling the loader arms are only hooked up for single acting. They are double acting cylinders. I may plumb them for double acting in the future. Thanks for your help. It would be great to have the original control valves to do all this, but it is cheaper and faster to add a $75 external spool valve. Doug Stockman Penfield, NY
