When doing the bench test, you say you grounded the plugs to metal. Was they grounded back to the mag? If not, I would think that it would effect the test. Be sure you are grounding to mag or to something that leads back to the mag for the test. No, that doesn't sound like good enough spark. Shouldn't have any trouble seeing it jump the gap in the plug. The magnet can get weak. Never experienced a weak magnet problem myself but you can strengthen them back up if you have the equipment. You say it is getting gas, are you sure it is getting the right mixture of gas. I have blamed mags myself a couple times for problems over on the fuel side.
