Mike: I noticed your post 2-3days ago, said to myself, he will get an answer from someone who knows for sure. You didn't so thought I would try to help. I haven'thad a square baler since 1975, so am a bit rusty on them. My dad had a 45 baler that we traded off for a NH Super 69. I had that until 1975. I also owned a IH 46 that came with a second farm I purchased. Those balers all made the same size bale, and if memory serves me correctly it was a 14 x 18 bale. That is not a great differnce from yours. The best thing for you to do now is get the part number off one of your needles and go shopping. CaseIH dealer should be able to tell you what will work. I find there are a few old IH parts guy around some of the farm stores. My first thoughts are the 50T and 55T balers will be a closer fit, and that 46 needle may well work. The other thing is you might just run into at CaseIH, is if sales of those needles have dropped to a point where a decission has been made to stop making them, there may be old stock at a good price. Needles shouldn't be big ticket items. I always broke one or two a year and always replaced with new. I do remember IH needles were more expensive than NH needles.

We thought we could get by with this since the engine ran perfectly and would not need any internal work. After the cleanup and painting was done, we began reassembly and finally came to t
