Your 826 could have plastic insulation or the woven type on the individual wires. I replaced our entire woven wire harnesses on our 826 several years ago as it was a ticking time bomb. I have seen the much better plastic on older 806 tractors and a mixture of both on 856 so you could have anything. All woven insulation should be replace at this time in my opinion. The slightest bend will crack it off and your tractor is toast. This may not be your problem but it would pay to check it out or get good insurance!
