Wayne & Scotty: While you guys are on this subject, my Super A serial 336977 is indeed still thermosyphon and has a presurized system. Mine works great, and has for years. I have heard of other people who tried this with same results as Wayne. There has to be some difference in Super A engines somewhere along the production run. Someone who regularly visits this forum must know the difference. I know the SA1 has the 123 engine with water pump. I believe there is a difference in engine blocks that occured somewhere between 1950 and 1952. I threw this idea on the forums about a month ago and no grabed unto it, that being when the Super C was introduced in 1951 a new block was introduced for the C-123 and C-135 engines. That left only the Super A using the C-113 engine. To me it looks as though thicker sleeves were used for the Super A in the C-123 block. I do know this, the sleeves in my SA are very thick. I have had the same info relayed to me by Sam in NS. The serial number for his Super A is very close to mine. I throw this to anyone who actually knows this info.
