I have the opportunity to purchase a Farmall M very reasonably. I haven't called to see about the year or total condition, but it sounds like the sheet metal is very good, just needs engine overhaul and tires. Being an Allis Chalmers man (SORRY!) I don't know that much about Farmalls. Is this model collectable, anything specific to look for that might have gone wrong or be special to look at, and would it be worth my while and money to invest in this tractor? If I go to check out this unit, where would I find the serial #, so I can determine the year, etc.?? I know on AC's it's on the tranny case, but I wasn't sure about Farmall's though. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide. I may be partially converted to red yet!! LOL.
