went to dealer today to buy o rings for the lever style couplers on our 656...they couldn't find the right ones...somehow they got me sold on the iso/pioneer retrofit kit to make it function like the couplers on a 5088...96$ is a lot of money for a part time workin kid, but i'm sick of dealing with the adaptors and all the nuisances they cause (where are they?). i recommend the kit to anyone with a ~72+ ih and its lever couplers. installation is EASY. i did it in about an hour, and you don't have to remove the housing from the tractor. if you price out the cost of parts for removing the entire assembly and replacing with pioneer components, the IH part comes out slightly higher, but not by much. the one i got still has IH stampings on it and not CIH. the kit i got mentions an available/recommended drain kit. anyone have any idea what parts and procedures are involved in the drain kit? frankly the small amount of leakage isn't much worse than usual with the original parts. hope others will find out that this kit exists! also hope the original core parts will go up in historical value ;) -karl
