Super A Sickle Bar Mower Question

A friend has a belly mounted sickle bar mower for his Super A. It is the belt driven type with the long support shaft from the rear to the middle of the tractor. Inside the support shaft is the drive shaft for the pitman arm. On one end of the shaft is the pitman arm drive wheel and on the other is the small belt pulley. Has anyone out there ever removed this shaft to get to the bushings? If so, how does it come out of the support shaft? It looks as if the belt drive pulley is the only removable part, but it seems to be pressed on. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
