Eric, The last two that I've painted using 2150 and rusty red primer have both been a little orange to start with. It seems after just a little sun time they turn somewhat darker. I'm sure there is some variation in lots of paint. If one paint job is going to take multiple cans I try to mix them together and stir,stir ,stir. Rollie
