Hi Brandon. I just replaced the gage and sending unit on my 460 this past week end with Case IH parts. The sender had instructions, the gage did not. Please read the sender instructions carefully. It tells you that the '-' means 'minus' and should be grounded. The gage is marked differently. The'-' on the gage apparently stands for 'ignition' but is the B+ power connection. Quite a difference! I ran a seperate wire from the '-' on the sender to the 'G' (ground) on the gage and then to a chassis ground. The signal wire, marked "S" on both the gage and sender are connected together with the original wire. That should do it! Good luck! What ever you do, don't let the smoke out of the wire!
