hear are a few thing,s make sure you have a 8060 late model gas head 1947 or later harvester put a little wall in the back to give fuel direction on way in , you can cut head up to .180 and be safe take head to a real good head shop and have a 3 angle valve job done set the spring,s at around 90 on seat 160 of seat new 450 springs will work.install M cam 1 tooth advance will give it more bottom end, thats around 7% advance rememeber , compresion goes up timing must come back to make motor live i run arond 29 to 30% total at 1550rpm,s you need a dist so you can set it up for right advance. set rings top one .018 second one .016 check at 1 in down , its nice to run 450 rod,s and valve train and pins theu are all lighter, i decked the block .080 and stood the pistons out of the block to give it more compresion, if you go to the .999 wrist pin,s use big block chevy they are real light, retorqe cyl head at least 3 times.after warm.will have to trim pistons alittle if you deck block, find a 450 lp manifold, has no heat restrictions, i run the 12000 alt pistons. and have between 70 and 75 hp at 540 pto, check and see whitch venturi carb has,
