Dad has told me the same thing about switching implements on the old A. I asked him once why Granddad didn't buy a 2N/8N instead of the A. The Ford wouldn've been a lot cheaper. Dad said that he and all of his brothers always wished that Granddad would've got the Ford, as they spent at least have of their time switching implements. Seems Granddad had worked as a mechanic at the local Ford dealership, and though he didn't work there anymore, at least was on good terms with them and got put on the list to get the next Ford. But, they sold it to somebody else when it arrived. He went directly to the Farmall dealer and bought the A. Bill
