Before you break your "A" in half take off your Hood, Grill, Raditor, Valve Cover, Head, and Pan first. There is a good chance that you will not need to separate the tractor. I would suggest that you NOT remove your Dist/Mag. This will keep your timing in sink. You can usually do everything except pulling the crank or replacing the clutch without separating the tractor. I sure wouldn't put it back together without replacing the front crank seal. You will need some help with this but lets cover that in another post. GOOD LUCK
