Wanted to say thanks to all that helped me out with my 400 being stuck in gear. Managed to get it free by taking the advice of "Aces" and Hugh MacKay. Mr.MacKay even went trouble of answering my questions via email(some of my emails were lenghty also). The fix was shortening the link on the TA and using a come-a-long hooked to another tractor to releive the bind on the gears. Even with this, it was not easy to pop the rails back into neutral. After I was able to shift the tractor again, went throught the clutch and TA adjustment (Is it just me, or does anyone else get confused during this adjustment---maybe using both the operators manual and TA maintenance manual is my problem)and the tractor seems to shift fine. Need to get the shifting lever built up and beleive will prevent the same problem from happening again. Once again----thanks
