There are some of us that would ask "Why do you want to convert from 6V to 12V? As Hugh MacKay usually points out, if you have good, heavy battery cables it should start. I followed his advice and am now a firm believer of replacing the battery cables periodically and leaving it at 6V. My '50 C spins over like a top now. If you go to the left of this screen and under "Research & Info" and go to Articles. Under Maintence and Mechanical Information there is a paper titled "Converting from 6 Volt to 12 Volt". This is a very good place to start.
