The picture book says it's an "A", but there appears to be a piece of metal welded where the serial number should be behind the throttle rod on the block under the #1 plug. The seat is clearly aftermarket, and I can find no number anywhere near it, now that I've cleared the debris away. Also, at least one picture book shows a universal joint on the steering column (a la "C"'s) but this one goes straight to the box. There are casting (part?) nubmers on a bunch of the components. Any ideas on how to determine build year? Jim
