The only difference is the decals,and what came on the tractor when new. 45 should say McCormick Deering Farmall, 48 says IH McCormick Deering Farmall. If the shock is behind the seat it is a Monroe seat (not in parts book), the IH seat has the shock under the seat. The "standard" seat has a tool box under it and a small spring in front. Better throttle? OEM had teeth, replacement IH had slots (same design otherwise). Friction throttle with long lever is aftermarket. Do both/either have distributer or mag? Gasoline or distillate/kerosene engine? Gasoline will have slightly more power than a distillate or kerosene engine run on gas.
