mark, to add to what the others have said, do you have the rod connecting from the back side of the right hand rockshaft to the front of the fast hitch assembly? this is needed to lower the front of the hitch to aid in penetration of the plow points. i think the left hand tilt arm will help but not as much as the right hand rod. new points will also help. there may be various types of points available. there are point choices for faster penetration for newer, larger plows, not sure about yours. if the ground is rock hard,as in no rain and lots of heat, maybe you will have to wait for some rain to loosen things up.
