IH Sickle Mower

I need a little help identifying a mower. I have just bought back my grandfathers sickle mower out of the woods of the man who bought it from may grandmother 20 years ago. I don't think I wasted my $20.00. I cleaned it up with a pressure washer Saturday and cannot find a tag or anything that would give the model. Where should this be? It looks just like the 27V mower I have seen in some pictures on this site but the parts man at Case IH side that a 27V should not have a 5' cutter bar, which mine has. I probably can find all the parts I need without knowing exactly which mower I have but I would like to know. Gurads and knives are not a problem but the correct pitman rod and ends may be easier if I can identify the model.
