My 300U was running great till some 50 years worth of gunk in the tank plugged up the fuel line. The gas barely came out the tank at all. I have cleaned the tank and replaced the lines with help from forum members and now gas flows great. The problem is now that the tractor runs great for 30 seconds and then sputters, and runs rough with a lot of dark smoke coming out the exhaust. It runs best with the air cleaner disconnected. I checked the float and needle valve and they seem ok. What have I done? Help.
