When it dies, check to see if you still have a strong blue spark. If not, it's likely a defective coil or condensor (coil is more common). If the spark is still strong then it's fuel starvation. Start by removing the gas cap and listen for a rushing of air. If the cap vent plugs, a vacuum will be created in the tank as fuel is used, thus starving the carb. Look at the screen at the tank outlet for plugging. Check fuel flow by disconnecting the line at the carb and see if the flow stays strong & steady for at least 30 seconds. Check the screen at the carb inlet too.
