I have the same problem with my 460U. I adjusted all the linkages as outlined in the IT manual. That made problems worse. Did it twice and still worse. I then lengthened the linkage that attaches to the TA lever. This has fixed the problem. I can shift in high or low now. I have found that with really worn tractors, you sometimes have to ignore the directions and adjust until the thing works. I did a similar thing with my 1940 Farmall A and the governor linkage. Adjusted it to factory settings and made things worse. Took up all the slack and it worked fine. Best of luck. Doug Stockman Penfield, NY
