As has been noted, the biggest factor seems to be not condition, but location. If you're in horse country, small farm country, or even an area with large estates, these tractors bring a premium, as they're a good mowing or cultivating tractor. I've seen them go for anything from scrap value (I bought my '45 for $125 from a junkyard, complete except for grill, not stuck but but VERY rough) to $4000 or more for a nicely restored one with a mower or other implements. Anything in the $500-1500 range is probably fair for this one as you describe it. If I were you, I'd make an offer BEFORE you get it running, as one that runs is worth considerably more than a fixer-upper. Provided it's not stuck, not cracked, and you don't hear any big clunks when you turn it over, anyone with reasonable mechanical skills can usually get one of these old girls up and running without too much fuss.

On closer examination (and some reading in a AC D-14 service manual), I found out that this is a pretty ingenious method of cleaning the air in the tractor's intake tract.
