Regarding question #1 about the race spinning in the hub--you can take a center punch around the area in the hub where the race presses in and make several punch marks. This will raise the iron up and make the race fit tighter. It wouldn't hurt to use loc-tite as well, I believe the green loc-tite is for bearings and shafts, sorry, I can't recall the number though.
