I have a F-12 that actually starts well. Champion W-18plugs,New coil, points, condenser, good wires. I like to run the carb. as lean as possible on main and idle jet. I also let it idle a little on the fast side. There is a screw above the choke plate that alot of people leave out to dribble fuel into for priming. Put it back in! Set the points at .013 the plugs at .022! I never let the tractor run out of gas when shuting off, I turn the mag off. All fuel lines are routed as originally designed including the Iron tank in the hood. To start this cold or hot I retard the mag, throttle 1/2,choke full on. Pull crank 2 times. Then choke 1/2-will usually start on 1 or 2 pulls after that. Good Luck hope this helps.
