RAS: I know of a case where an IH dealer was selling a new 966 and was changing the 966 to 4 wheel drive for customer. The front end from the 966 was installed on another customers 656. He used the 656 on loader work and was having trouble breaking spindles. Customer told me the only change they had to make was a new 56 series center link for steering and width of rear brace or wishbone. The front end from the 656 was put on a 300. In my opinion putting a wide front from a 806 to a 656 would require one less step than putting wide front from a 966 to a 656. The center steering link would be the same.
