Years ago someone came up with the idea to make a lever that would mount on the right hand side of the platform under the seat. It was made out of half inch pipe maybe 6-8" long slight curve and then would have a rod running over to the pto lever that would engage the pto. Would have to have like a cable clamp to clamp rods together. This half inch pipe would have a bolt welded to it. The part that fastens to tractor would be flat piece of metal with pipe for bolt to go through put nut on bolt or drill hole in bolt to put cotter key in to hold it in place or both. Some of these were longer than 6 or 8 inches this should give you an idea of how to build a devise to help the guy next door out.
