Water flow on a 48 'C'

I've had my C running for several months now and I am wondering if I should be able to see water flow in the radiator? This tractor has no water pump and the water at the top of the radiator reaches about190 degrees and I can still hold my hand on the bottom rad. hose.It hasn't over heated but the new NAPA temp. doesn't come off 130 degrees.with the radiator cap off I don't see much flow,but would there be flow like one with a water pump?
