SDman, thanks for your reply, you're making me feel old. We obviously have a commoon love of all things IH. My earliest tractor memories are of Dads new SAWD6 that he bought in 1955. Your comments re the Tenneco buy-out of IH are true.We have a Magnum and an Axial Flow 2188 and it's good to see parts on these machines still being produced with the familiar IHC symbol proudly cast in.As for the NH merger we keep hearing rumours hear that the Magnum , Axial Flows and Cotton Pickers are certain survivors . Time will tell. I'm also very keen on the IH history and at the moment am trying to get some info from a couple of archives in Aust,who have some material about the the Aust. factory that was at Geelong in Victoria. If ever I get to go to the USA I must make Highmore a stopover.
The only problem I have with these boards is my typing speed, or absolute lack of it, I'm only a farmer.Redfan.
