The #31 is a straight loader, the main frame is made of channel iron, this loader attaches to the rear axle housings, and also to the frame rails towards the front. There is another piece which attaches to the front bolster of the tractor, and acts as a guide to limit side sway.It will not fit a wide front tractor.
Look in the photo ads, under loader for Farmall H, a pretty good picture.
